Thumbs Up Grand Slam (Babe)
Babe was recently bred to Thumbs Up Paint Me Happy (Emmy) Both
are registered with AKC and ASCA. Babe is from a the match of Thumbs Up Blossoming
Rosebud (Blossom) and
Star's Big Dipper (Harry) born April 1, 2010. He has a nice
temperament. We had kept him for a stud and possibly show. His CERF testing
showed that his eyes are normal as of June 2011. His prelim on hips showed
GOOD. He comes from a healthy line. I was planning on selling him,
but my husband isn't ready to let him go. Perhaps someone can help me to convince
him to give Babe up sometime this summer. Babe has taken a formal class of obedience
and knows basics such as sit, lie down, come, heel, slow, off, in, leave it, stay.
He would still benefit from futher sorcialization and training to reinforce those
commands, especially stay . He has not been one to jump on us and has been calmer
than most of our Aussies. He should make a great family companion once he gets to
know you. He is crate trained. Seldom barks but has sung (howled) in the
morning to let us know that he needs to take a potty break in the morning. Although
I do not totally trust him yet to be unsupervised in the house, he has shown us that he
prefers to potty outside rather than lifting his leg indoors. Although he is not
neutered, I would prefer that his new owners neuter him after he adjusts to his new
home. Although I am not willing to ship him, I am willing to drive 2-3 hours to help
in the transfer if or when my husband says it is okay.
