Star's Two Thumbs Up Cantata   (Kady)

Kady is a loving dog that should give a new family many wonderful years of companionship.  Kady was spayed July 21, 2011 and had her teeth cleaned at the same time.  She has no known health issues.  She displays the energy of a pup outside and has the maturity to calm down while indoors.  She would like to be a lap dog.
She earned her Canine Good Citizen's Award and is pointed in AKC.  She is both house trained and crate trained.
She is excellent on the lead and great with people.  Besides wining best of breed in two AKC shows , she has also been shown in the past by young grandchildren in 4H and ASCA Jr Showmanship.  She loves to cuddle and would likely make a good Therapy dog if someone wanted to pursue that training.  She has been excellent at coming when called.
With consistant training, she would likely catch on fast to Rally and Agility.
Her normal weight would be around 45 pounds or less.  She is of medium height or slightly shorter than many Aussies.  Her eyes are blue on the bottom and dark brown on top. The blue is the most noticable until examined more closely.   Hips and Elbows passed CERF with a Good Rating on hips and normal elbows.  I can think of only three possible faults that may affect her placement.  (1)She must be supervised outdoors or have secure fencing that she can not jump.  She could still clear a 4 and a half foot fence this spring.  (2) She should be fed away from other dogs.  She doesn't mind if I take food out of her mouth, but prefers to keep other dogs away from her food.  We can even give treats to her and a dog standing next to  her without problems, but she protects her food dish from other dogs.  Other than feeding time, she has gotten along well with other dogs. (3) I am looking for a home in MI where she can get to know her new family before the transfer.  She once had separation anxiety when an unfamiliar handler took her into the showring without us being in sight.   We got her over that with lots of training and socialization.  We do not think it will be a problem again, but wish to let her get to know her new family prior to the transfer.  Everyone that has seen Kady seems to love her, and she loves them back.  If interested, please fill out our questionnaire.  A link to it can be found on our home page.              $275 to a good home only.
